When the encore ends, it is good to know your bed is nearby. These four hotels near Ziggo Dome and AFAS Live are in Amsterdam-Zuidoost, around ArenA Boulevard and Amsterdam Bijlmer ArenA station. Stay here for easy access to the venues. For canals, museums and the old city centre, you will need public transport.
Jaz is right beside Ziggo Dome, while easyHotel is opposite AFAS Live. Hampton includes breakfast, and Courtyard has a restaurant if you would like to turn the concert into a longer evening out.

1. Jaz in the City Amsterdam: right next to Ziggo Dome

Jaz is the obvious choice if the shortest walk back from Ziggo Dome matters most. The hotel is on De Passage, directly beside the venue and opposite the Johan Cruijff ArenA stadium. AFAS Live is also within walking distance, through the area around the stadium.
Music and street art feature throughout the hotel, so it fits the mood of a concert trip. Rhythms Bar & Kitchen gives you somewhere to eat or have a drink before the show. The standard In-Tune rooms are around 26 m², with a rainfall shower, and the hotel also has fitness and wellness facilities. It suits a stay where you want to enjoy the hotel as well as the gig.
Best for: a concert at Ziggo Dome when getting back quickly is your priority, or an overnight trip where the hotel is part of the experience. If you drive, allow for separate parking in a public garage. Jaz does not have its own car park.

2. easyHotel Amsterdam Arena Boulevard: a simple stay opposite AFAS Live

easyHotel has a particularly useful location for AFAS Live. It is on Johan Cruijff Boulevard, opposite the venue and close to Bijlmer ArenA station. You can walk to Ziggo Dome too. There is no need to stay in the city centre and travel back out to Zuidoost for the concert.
Expect a straightforward, compact room with a private bathroom, air conditioning and Wi-Fi. If your plans revolve around the show and you will leave the next morning, that may be all you need. Jaz or Courtyard will make more sense if you want space to spend time at the hotel before heading out.
Best for: a short stay where location and room price come first. There is no hotel restaurant or breakfast service, so you will need to eat out the next morning. Luggage storage costs extra, which is useful to know if you arrive well before check-in.

3. Hampton by Hilton Amsterdam / Arena Boulevard: breakfast included

Hampton is on Hoekenrode, by Amsterdam Bijlmer ArenA station. It is a convenient option if you arrive by train and want to drop off your bags before the concert. Both venues are within walking distance, although Jaz is closer to Ziggo Dome and easyHotel is closer to AFAS Live.
A hot breakfast is included, so there is no need to find a café first thing or pay separately for a hotel breakfast. You also get Wi-Fi and access to a fitness room. Connecting rooms are available, which may be useful if you are travelling with family or friends, provided you book that room arrangement.
Best for: an easy morning after the concert, especially if you will be catching a train. When comparing Hampton with easyHotel, include the cost of breakfast in your thinking rather than looking at the room price alone.

4. Courtyard by Marriott Amsterdam: dinner and a room in one place

This hotel on Hoogoorddreef was previously known as Courtyard Amsterdam Arena Atlas. It is close to Bijlmer ArenA station, within walking distance of both AFAS Live and Ziggo Dome. Take care with the name when searching: Courtyard Amsterdam Airport is a different hotel in Hoofddorp.
There is a bright lobby with a striking wooden staircase, a fitness room and the Italian restaurant Ristorante 51, which also has a terrace. It gives you the option of checking in, having dinner at the hotel and then walking to the venue, without fitting in another stop along the way.
Best for: a stay with a hotel restaurant and a less hurried departure. Standard check-out is at noon, compared with 11am at easyHotel and Hampton. Breakfast is not automatically free at Courtyard; whether it is included depends on the rate you book.

Should you stay near the venue or in central Amsterdam?
Staying in Zuidoost makes most sense when the concert is the main reason for your trip. Afterwards, you can walk back rather than plan around your final connection into town. The area has restaurants and a cinema, but it is not the canal-side Amsterdam you may picture for a first visit.
If sightseeing is just as important as the show, a central hotel can be a better fit. You will then travel to Bijlmer ArenA for the concert and back afterwards. Our Amsterdam hotel guide covers other places to stay. For shows elsewhere in the city, see our guide to concerts in Amsterdam, or read about visiting Paradiso.
Planning your concert stay
Arrive in the afternoon, check in and eat before going to the venue. Standard check-in starts at 3pm at all four hotels. If you arrive earlier, luggage storage can be useful. Leave your overnight bag at the hotel and take only what your concert allows into the venue.
Amsterdam Bijlmer ArenA is the station for this area. From there, you can walk to the hotels and venues. Read our Amsterdam public transport guide for getting around, including a trip into the city the next morning. If you drive, decide whether to use hotel parking or a separate event car park. A hotel room does not automatically include free parking.
Staying a second night gives you more time to explore if you are travelling from the UK. Our two-day Amsterdam itinerary can help you make a weekend of it. For the concert night itself, choose the detail that matters to you: Jaz beside Ziggo Dome, easyHotel opposite AFAS Live, breakfast at Hampton or dinner and a noon check-out at Courtyard.
