The best place to stay for ADE 2026 depends on your main events and the journey back afterwards. A central hotel is useful for some plans; a base in West, Noord or Zuidoost may suit others better.
ADE 2026 runs until Sunday 25 October. If you are looking for a room at short notice, choose an area based on the location of your main event. See the ADE 2026 guide for the programme, nightlife options and useful routes around the city.
Which area should you choose?
City centre for a mixed itinerary
The centre can suit a stay combining sightseeing with several different evening venues. It does not put every event within walking distance. Ask about a quiet room if daytime sleep matters more to you than being near busy nightlife streets.
West for events on the western side
Start here if your confirmed events cluster in West. Check the exact addresses rather than treating Westerpark, Sloterdijk and more distant event spaces as one area. A hotel chosen for an old venue listing may not suit the new programme.
Noord for events across the IJ
Noord can work well if your main venues are there. NDSM and the A’DAM Tower area are separate locations, so check the route to your own event. There can be long queues for ferries to Noord during ADE. The Buiksloterweg ferry runs through the night, but NDSM needs a different route. See the city’s ADE transport advice for the right crossing and late-night options.
Zuidoost for the large venue area
If a confirmed show is near Bijlmer ArenA, Ziggo Dome or AFAS Live, compare nearby accommodation first. The trade-off is more travel for daytime sightseeing in the centre. Choose your hotel around the confirmed location of the event you plan to attend.
East for a mixed city break
East gives you another base to compare for a stay involving several areas. It still needs a separate late-night route check for every main event. Daytime convenience is only part of the decision.
Hotels and hostels to compare
These are existing hotels and hostels, not official ADE partner hotels. Room prices and availability depend on your dates. Compare the same room type and number of guests before judging value.
The Social Hub Amsterdam City

This property is on Wibautstraat. Older articles call it The Student Hotel; use the current name and check that you are booking the Amsterdam City location. It is an option for a base in East, with the return journey checked against your actual event schedule.
Check The Social Hub Amsterdam City.
Generator Amsterdam

Generator is by Oosterpark and offers private and shared rooms. A dorm bed may suit a solo budget; friends wanting privacy should compare the cost of an entire room. If you plan to sleep during the day, think carefully about sharing with people on different schedules.

Hotel V Nesplein

Hotel V Nesplein is behind Dam Square. It is a central option if exploring the inner city matters alongside ADE. For a trip built around one distant venue, compare the extra journeys with a hotel nearer that event.
Hotel TwentySeven
Compare this Dam Square option if the hotel stay itself is part of your break. If most of your time will be spent at events, consider how much you will use the room and any extras before choosing a higher accommodation budget.
Sofitel Legend The Grand Amsterdam
The Grand is on Oudezijds Voorburgwal. It is an option for a central stay combining ADE with more time in Amsterdam. Check the facilities and any additional charges you care about for your exact booking rather than relying on a previous year’s hotel description.
Check Sofitel Legend The Grand Amsterdam.
Anantara Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky
Krasnapolsky is on Dam Square. A central address is useful for the city, but not a guarantee of an easy walk back from every event. Check room location and ask about a quieter option if your sleep schedule will differ from normal hotel hours.

De L’Europe Amsterdam
Another option for a central stay when ADE forms part of a longer Amsterdam break. Compare breakfast hours, checkout and any facilities you plan to use with your event schedule. Extras have less value if you will be asleep or away when they are available.
Compare the full cost and booking conditions
Include mandatory taxes and charges, breakfast and transport after events when comparing accommodation. Check which costs are already included in the displayed total. A lower room price outside Amsterdam may be offset by late-night travel.
For flexible rates, read the cancellation deadline, local time and payment conditions. Free cancellation is not the same as unlimited free changes. Check late arrival and luggage storage, and confirm unusual arrival times with the property.
Match the hotel to your UK journey
Metro lines 52 and 54 run later on the Friday and Saturday nights of ADE, until 02:00. On Sunday 25 October the clocks go back from 03:00 to 02:00. That matters when arranging a late train, taxi or morning departure after a night out.
Leave time between arrival in Amsterdam, check-in and your first ticketed event. After your last night, check whether checkout and your journey home leave enough time to rest. A return departure straight after an overnight party can be a poor fit for a short break.
Use the GVB journey planner for the actual event finishing time, and check other operators if you stay outside the city. To compare apartments and other stays beyond your ADE plans, use our wider guide to where to stay in Amsterdam.
