Want to see Ajax play at the Johan Cruijff ArenA during the 2026/27 season? The safest route is to use Ajax’s official Ticketshop and Official Ajax app. Popular home matches can sell out quickly, so it helps to understand the sales order, Club Card access and official Resale before you plan your Amsterdam trip.
How Ajax ticket sales work in 2026/27
Ajax sells home-match tickets through its official Ticketshop. Availability depends on the match and the sales phase. Season-ticket holders and Supporters Association members can receive earlier access, followed by Club Card holders and, where applicable, general sale.
For the 2026/27 season, an Ajax Club Card costs €5 and gives access to ticket sales subject to availability, plus priority before general sale. A Club Card does not guarantee a ticket, especially for high-demand matches.

Use the official Ticketshop and Ajax app
Create your Ajax account before ticket sales open and keep your details ready. The official Ticketshop shows which matches are on sale, sold out or available through Resale.
Purchased tickets are issued as mobile tickets in the Official Ajax app. Ajax states that mobile tickets are made available no later than one week before the match. This means you normally do not need a printed ticket.
What if the match is sold out?
Check Ajax Resale rather than buying through an unofficial marketplace. Season-ticket holders can return seats they cannot use, and those tickets may become available again through the official system.
Availability can change close to the match, so it can be worth checking Resale again if your preferred game initially appears sold out. Ajax also warns supporters about black-market resale and inflated prices on unofficial channels.
Tips for visitors from the UK
- Create and verify your Ajax account before the sales window you want to use.
- Check whether the match requires a Club Card or another priority status.
- Use only the official Ticketshop and Resale for the safest buying route.
- Keep the Official Ajax app installed because your mobile ticket will be available there.
- Do not rely on screenshots or shared login details. Ajax states that accounts and tickets are personal.
- For popular fixtures, keep alternative match dates in mind when planning your Amsterdam weekend.
Before you travel to the ArenA
Check the exact match time shortly before your trip, as kick-off times can change. The Johan Cruijff ArenA is easy to reach by metro and train from central Amsterdam. Give yourself extra time for security checks and busy public transport around major fixtures.
The key rule is simple: buy through Ajax itself, set up your account early and use official Resale if a match is sold out. That gives you the best chance of securing a legitimate ticket for the 2026/27 season.
